Deadline 3rd July 2019
Grants are available for projects that engage women and/or
black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME) communities into quality volunteering and/or coaching opportunities in England.
Sport England is looking for proposals that support more women and/or BAME people into the sport and physical activity coaching and volunteering workforce, and to help ensure they have a really positive experience.
The ideas should be game-changing and help increase the diversity of those who give their time to sport, whilst empowering and upskilling local communities. The fund is not about investing in more of the same things which are known to work.
Projects need to deliver at least one of the following five outcomes:
- Mental wellbeing.
- Physical wellbeing.
- Individual development.
- Social and community cohesion.
- Economic development.
The funding can be used for coaching costs or fixed term positions needed to meet a specific project requirement. Coaching costs must be clearly additional to usual club expenditure and they must be appropriately qualified.
